Ronald Ibarra
Ronald Ibarra is a former chief judge of the Third Circuit Court of Hawaii. He was appointed to this court in 1989 and retired in June 2017.[1]
Education
Ibarra earned a B.S.S. from the University of Hawaii, and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.[2]
Career
Early in his legal career, Ibarra worked as a first deputy prosecutor in Kona and an attorney with the law firm of Goodsill, Anderson, Quinn and Stifel. He then became corporation counsel and managing director for Hawaii County. Ibarra also served on active duty in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant from 1970 to 1972 and later in the Army Reserve as a lieutenant colonel.[3]
