Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 17.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Jack H. McLemore and John Reeves.

Education
McMillin earned both his B.S. and J.D. degrees from Louisiana State University. He was admitted to the bar in 1984.[3]
Career
Prior to his candidacy, McMillan worked as a sole practitioner. He has experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney and has worked in both the private and public sectors.[4]
