Rorie Fitzpatrick
Rorie Fitzpatrick is the director of Common Core State Standards implementation for WestEd, a San Francisco-based policy implementation research group.[1]
Fitzpatrick was the interim Nevada Superintendent of Public Instruction. She served in this position since she was named to replace the vacancy left by James Guthrie's resignation on March 29, 2013.[2] Dale Erquiaga took over the post on August 26, 2013.[3]
Biography
Fitzpatrick was serving as Deputy Nevada Superintendent of Public Instruction when she was named as interim Superintendent following James Guthrie's resignation on March 29, 2013. Fitzpatrick's educational career spans over two decades. Prior to joining the state education agency, she was on the faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno. The majority of her teaching experience has been children ages 5 and under with disabilities.[4]
