Rory Rowland
Rory Rowland (Democratic Party) was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 29. He assumed office on January 6, 2016. He left office on April 17, 2022.
Rowland (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Missouri House of Representatives to represent District 29. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Rowland resigned from the Missouri House of Representatives after he was elected as mayor of Independence, Missouri.[1] He was first elected to the chamber in a special election on November 3, 2015.[2]

2015
A special election for the position of Missouri House of Representatives District 29 was called for November 3.[2] The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was September 15.[6]
The seat was vacant following Noel Torpey's (R) resignation in December 2014 to become executive director of the Fair Energy Rate Action Fund.[7]
Rory Rowland (D) defeated Brian DeMoss (R) and Richard McKie (Constitution) in the special election.[6][8]
