Rosalyn Chapman
Rosalyn M. Chapman is a former federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She was appointed to this position on March 1, 1995.[1]
Education
Judge Chapman received her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1964 and her J.D. degree from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1967.[1]
Career
Judge Chapman worked as an Associate Director for the Western Center on Law and Poverty, Inc. from 1969 to 1972. She then lectured for the University of California at Los Angeles, School of Law until 1973, when she returned to his previous job at the Western Center on Law and Poverty, Inc. From 1976 to 1985, she was a consultant for the Legal Services Corporation. Also during this time, from 1977 to 1995, she worked as an Administrative Law Judge II in the California Office of Administrative Hearings. She also worked part-time as a Labor Arbitrator and Judicial Arbitrator from 1981 to 1995. In 1995, she became a magistrate judge.[1]
