Rose Herrera
Rose Herrera is a former member of the San Jose City Council in California, representing District 8 from 2009 to 2016. She was first elected to the city council on November 4, 2008, and she was appointed vice mayor in January 2015. Herrera was term limited out of office in 2016.[1][2][3]
In 2014, Herrera was a nonpartisan candidate for mayor of San Jose, California.

The city of San Jose, California held elections for mayor on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. Dave Cortese and Sam Liccardo advanced past Pierluigi Oliverio, Bill Chew, Timothy Harrison, Rose Herrera, Michael Alfred Alvarado and Madison Nguyen in the primary. Liccardo defeated Cortese in the general election.[4][5][6]
