I am a the owner and operator of Bordertown Appraisals . I have been appraising Real Estate for the last 36 years. I am 59 years old and have living in RI for almost 5 years. I am one of 11 children, I have 2 children and 6 grand children. I have an associates degree in communication. When I was a child my Aunt owned a cottage on Lawton Road in Misquamicut and I came to love this little Town. I moved here after I graduated from High School, left after 4 years and have been back since February of 2020. I am a Christian Conservative who wants to keep this area pretty much as it is with minimal development. I have a strong, unwavering dedication to fight for what we believe in. I am open, honest and accessible. I am involved and vocal in Town Council and School Board meeting. I love Westerly and the people in it and God willing will never leave again as I consider Westerly my home.
  • Keep Westerly Fiscally Responsible: I will carefully review the town budget looking for ways to curb spending, provide a reasonable level of services at a reasonable tax rate, now and in the future and work to increase transparency in spending.
  • Public Beach Access: The public trust doctrine is the principle that certain natural resources such as beach access belong to the public. The state is not the owner of natural resources but rather is a trustee who holds a fiduciary relationship with the people. I will uphold this doctrine to ensure that the public is able to access and enjoy our beautiful beaches.
  • Winnapaug Golf Course Project. I do not support the building of 2,300 low income housing nor do I support resort project of 700 condo units. We do not have the resources or the infrastructure to support these large developments. I would be open to a greatly scaled down version of the resort.
Public access to the coastline, limited development in our town, transparency of local government, making sure the town is fiscally sound, and addressing some of the projects that need to be decided upon. No more kicking the can down the road. We have projects like the Potter Hill Dam, the Route one Corridor development and what to do with the Marina that need to be addressed and decided upon. To be educated with the facts from experts in these fields and to be able to make an informed decision as to what is best for the town as a whole.
President Reagan: He got things done, He was respected and he would not let any Country take advantage of the US. We were safe under his tenure.
The truth and transparency. As a whole the people of this town deserve to know what is going on with all issues in the Town.
I am honest, truthful, respectful and smart. What I don't know I will learn and I am not afraid to make hard decision.
To be held accountable for their decision in representing the Town
That we got something done in this Town.
Connecticut Education Association working in the mailroom at the age of 16. I was there until they laid me off right out of highschool.
The Bible: Because it speaks the Truth
No, I am not a politician, I am a concerned member of this community and want more transparency and action, therefore I have decided to run for Town Council.
Its starting from the ground up. It affects us at home , right here in our own backyard.
As elected officials we need to be held accountable to the Towns People
