Ross Harvin is a conservative small businessman and Marine veteran. Ross has served our nation in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for almost 20 years, currently holds the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, and is an infantryman. Ross is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. He is also a small businessman where he works in the land surveying industry.

In addition to serving our nation in the armed forces, Ross is also active in the Jackson County GOP, the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, is a former State Committee member of the Georgia Republican Party, and serves on the Jackson County Board of Adjustment.

Ross and his wife Amanda are the proud parents of four children: his daughters Rylee (17), Emma (14), Amelia (11), and his son Ross Jr. (7).
  • End the state income tax.
  • Serve with integrity and impose tighter ethics reforms on all politicians
  • Vote and work on behalf of the citizens of the 47th district not the Atlanta lobbyist machine. So that we can return the power back to the people and bolster the vanishing middle class.
Less government regulation, reducing government spending, eliminating the state income tax, protecting the second amendment, standing for life, and empowering Georgia families.
I look up to my father, he was able to achieve the American dream and be a present loving father.
Integrity and service. An elected officials integrity must be above reproach, no one should profit from being in office. Service to the constituents always, and understanding that holding office is not a career but a season of your life.
To represent the constituents of their district. Prioritize the people over big business, fight for their needs (i.e. traffic, education, public safety)
A legacy of being of the people and for the people.
The biggest historical event that happened in my lifetime would have to be September 11th. I was 15 years old at the time and would go on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps right after high school.
My first job was an oil change technician in high school. I worked there for approximately a year.
Attempting to be everywhere at once, but it has also been a huge blessing as my children have provided me so many places to be.
I believe that the Governor can lay out his or her priorities to the legislature at the beginning of each session. While the Governor is the chief executive the legislative body must represent what their districts desire.
Infrastructure is one of the largest challenges as the population in Georgia continues to grow. We also must restore law and order to different parts of the state to create a safe environment for people to live, work, and play.
No, I believe it is detrimental. The everyday Georgian should be represented by someone they can identify with.
Yes, in order to accomplish objectives on behalf of your district you must build alliances.
One of the most disheartening stories I have heard has to do with the draining of Seagraves Mill Lake. This landmark was drained due to a bureaucratic process with little oversight.
I would introduce legislation to end the state income tax.
Cole Elrod-Jackson County Commissioner, Dawn Maddox-Councilwoman City of Jefferson, Todd Higdon-Madison County Commission Chair, Dennis Adams-Madison County Commissioner
Ethics, Transportation, & the Military, Veterans, and Homeland Security Committees.
I believe that financial transparency and government accountability is of the utmost importance.
Georgia currently refers constitutional amendments to the ballot.
