Ross Tolleson
Ross Tolleson (b. April 26, 1956) is a former Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 20 from 2002 to November 1, 2015. He announced his resignation on October 6, 2015, but it was not effective until November 1. He resigned after being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease.[1]
Biography
Tolleson's professional experience includes working as Vice President for Tolleson Supply Company, founder and member of the Board of Directors of Crossroads Bank of Perry, tree farmer, Founding Partner/Financial Adviser for UBS Shepley-Tolleson Financial Group, and Financial Adviser for UBS Paine Webber.

Elections for the Georgia State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with a runoff election taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Sheikh M. "Chad" Rahman was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent T. Ross Tolleson was unopposed in the Republican primary. Tolleson defeated Rahman in the general election.[2][3][4]

Tolleson ran in the 2012 election for Georgia State Senate District 20. Tolleson ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. No Democratic candidate filed to run for this seat. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6] Tolleson ran unopposed in the general election.[7]

On November 4, 2008, Tolleson won re-election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 20th Senate district. Tolleson ran unopposed in the election, and he received 50,096 votes.[9] Tolleson raised $79,225 for his campaign.[10]
