- Revitalize Downtowns: Support main street organizations, community revitalization projects and “Buy Local” programs that strengthen our community hubs.
- Create Family-Wage Jobs: Expand and support workforce training and apprenticeship opportunities to prepare people for good-paying careers.
- Invest in Tourism & Innovation: Showcase Polk County’s farms, the fairgrounds, wineries, culture, and outdoor assets to bring in new revenue.
- Keep Taxes Manageable: Seek outside funding and use county dollars wisely to avoid burdening families and businesses.
HOW I'LL BUILD A SAFE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITIES
- Strengthen Public Safety: Support law enforcement, fire, and first responders with the tools, training, and resources they need. My voting record shows strong support for our local law enforcement.
- Invest in Prevention: Expand access to mental health care, addiction recovery, and housing services. I know first hand how essential these support services are.
- Deliver Strong Infrastructure: Put my ODOT experience to work so Polk County roads and bridges are prioritized when funding decisions are made. I know the system — and how to make it work for us.
- Build Community Connections: Launch a Polk County newsletter, events, and partnerships that bring people together.
HOW I'LL ENSURE ACCOUNTABLE, TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT
- Stay Accessible: I will ensure regular community forums, listening sessions, and open-door communication. Meeting people where they are - whether it's in Grande Ronde, West Salem, Falls City, Pedee or anywhere in between.
- Be Fiscally Responsible: My decades of experience managing budgets have taught me how to set priorities, meet metrics and make sure resources are used wisely.
- Measure What Matters: Tie spending directly to outcomes we can measure and achieve.
