A lifelong Republican, I cast my first vote for Ronald Reagan in 1980. I graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1985 with a B.S. in History/Engineering, and later earned an M.A. in Space Systems Management from Webster University. In my time with the Air Force, I served as a Global Positioning System (GPS) Satellite Controller, a Navigator on the KC-135R aerial refueling tanker, an Air Force ROTC Assistant Professor, a Strategic Planner and as a Project and Software Manager. I retired from the military in 2013 after 32 years of service. I hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute.

In addition, I spent 12 years in the private sector as an FAA-certified Aircraft Dispatcher. I taught as a public middle school Science Teacher and worked nearly a decade with the Department of Veterans Affairs—most recently with the Montana VA Healthcare System at Fort Harrison as a Management and Program/Data Analyst.

During the 2025 Montana Legislative Session, I served as a House Sergeant at Arms staffer and have a keen awareness of how bills are passed. I personally know most of the individuals currently serving in the house. I’ve volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts of America and Civil Air Patrol and currently serve as Vice Commander of American Legion Post 2 in Helena. I’m active in my church, am involved with several local Christian organizations and am a member of the Last Chance Curling Club.
  • Affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing Montanans today. The cost of housing has skyrocketed faster than wages over the past six years, making it nearly impossible for anyone to enter the housing market. I will work to provide government incentives for those entering the housing market. I will work with for-profit, non-profit and faith-based organizations to find affordable housing solutions. I will work to cut property taxes, while keeping tabs on runaway government spending.
  • Education is one of the keys in providing our children with the skills and knowledge they will need to be productive citizens. Parents need options in order to provide the best education for their kids. whether it is in the public school system, charter schools, home schooling or something in-between. Industry needs skilled workers, trained here in Montana, to do the jobs to help our economy grow. And our society needs informed citizens to make the correct decisions that will help decide the future of our state and nation.
  • Freedom is what makes this country great. As we celebrate our 250th birthday as a nation, it is important to remember what our founding fathers set out to do: to stand firm against government overreach, to protect our liberties, to preserve the family and to allow us all to enjoy the great way of life we have here in America and here in the great state of Montana.
Energy/Natural Resources - Montana has an abundance of natural resources, including 30% of the nation's coal reserves. Our timber industry has come to a virtual standstill due to government red tape. Water resources are limited and need to be fairly and responsibly managed. We have a beautiful state and it too needs to be maintained and protected. I will do everything I can to provide government incentives and streamline bureaucratic processes, to provide jobs to make our economy strong, while preserving the wonder and awe which is Montana.
