Ruben Brooks
Ruben Brooks is a federal magistrate judge on recall status with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He was sworn in as a federal magistrate judge on September 2, 1993, and retired from full time service on August 12, 2016. As a recalled federal magistrate, he can be called upon to hear cases if that is required.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Judge Brooks earned his B.A. from UCLA in 1971 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1974.[1]
Professional career
Prior to his judicial appointment, Judge Brooks was an attorney in private practice.[1]
