Ruben Major
Ruben Major (Democratic Party) ran for election for California Secretary of State. He lost in the primary on June 5, 2018.
Biography
Ruben lives in Oceanside. He earned an emergency medical technician certificate in 2000, a paramedic certificate in 2002, a bachelor's degree in history from Arizona State University in 2004, a master's degree in military history from Norwich University in 2008, and a J.D. from Concord Law School in 2017. Ruben's work experience includes serving as a paramedic and as a supervisor/battalion chief in the emergency medical services field. He also worked and volunteered for the Gila River Indian Community and helped establish the nation’s first Native American emergency medical dispatch program. He and his wife also started an EMT and paramedic recertification training program. They have three children.[1]
