Biography
Rudy Gutierrez is a branch manager for Kimco Staffing. Prior to working for Kimco Staffing, he worked as a branch manager at Manpower Staffing Services. Gutierrez serves as Coachella's representative on the South Coast Air Quality Management District Environmental Justice Advisory Group. He also serves on the City of Coachella Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Regional Access Project Foundation. After graduating from Hilmar High School in central California, Gutierrez served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He and his wife have two sons.[2][3]

Three seats were up for general election on the Coachella Valley Unified School District Board of Education on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Anna Lisa Vargas and challengers Karen C. Hernandez, Blanca Torres Hall, Trinidad Arredondo, Rudy Gutierrez, Alma Delia Silva and Joey Acuña Jr. ran for two seats in Trustee Area 1. Hall and Acuña won the election. Incumbent Meagan Caress ran unopposed and won re-election to Trustee Area 2.
