My name is Rudy B Mora and I was born and raised in New Mexico. I served honorable in law enforcement with the New Mexico State Police for 20 years, 5 years with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office as Undersheriff. I served as Chief of Police of the Pueblo of Laguna for 2 years. My wife and I have owned a small business in New Mexico for 28 years and I’m committed to making New Mexico a safe thriving community.
  • God-Family-Country are my guiding principles. Like many New Mexican’s I’m simply tired of identity politics and want to represent the people of this great state. The time has come to educate ourselves on our current leadership and verify who they truly represent. Special interest groups, themselves or the people!
  • I live my life on a quote, “we don’t have to be bad to get better”. I chose not to focus on the negative, rather identify problems and come up with solutions that benefit the common good of society.
  • Government spending is at an all time high with no results to support it. I have to ask a question if our return on investment is beneficial? Along with the vast majority of New Mexicans I saw no!
Criminal justice system. It is clear that our system is broken and needs a swift revamping.
My parents Rudy Mora Sr and Maxine Mora. I look up to them because they insisted on solid principles and values based off God-Family-Country. They taught me a valuable lesson in life, “you only deserve what you earn”
A lifelong and proven record of public service to our community. With this experience and higher education in Organizational Leadership B.A., will assist me in representing the people of New Mexico.
To truly represent the common good of the community they are elected to serve.
“We don’t have to be bad to get better” and you are never wrong if you are kind!
At 17 years old I was a victim of a random act of violence and was shot in the chest and nearly lost my life.
At the age of 14, I worked at local bingo hall picking up trash on the weekends. I worked various jobs through high school. At 18 years old I started my law enforcement career.
Extreme Ownership because it reminds me how my parents raised me. No matter what I take full responsibility for my actions. Our founding fathers gave us the ability to be free and live the American Dream
If I’m half the person my dad was—-I’ll be alright! He is always my super hero
As a retired law enforcement officer and small business owner, I understand the day to day struggles of society. I have passionately taken an oath to serve and protect people. There are many struggles in life but one thing is for sure God has given me the strength to get up every morning and make a conscious devious to be a little better today than yesterday.
It should be a mutual respect for one another and strive to come to agreement for the common good. We rarely see bipartisanship
No, they need to be good listeners and just not follow party lines driven by special interests.
Absolutely and positive relationships are critical in every aspect of a civilized society. If we can’t respect our colleagues how do we expect the public trust and respect us.
No one in particular and I hold firm to surrounding yourself with positive, people with a growth mindset.
Not at this time. Our state is at stage where we need to come together and do what is right for the people of New Mexico and I feel I’m best suited for the position I seek.
My wife said the other day when we were celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary, “how long you been married” asked the waiter? Wife said, “I’ve been married so long I don’t look when I cross the road”.
In very rare instances and should never be utilized to infringe on our constitutional rights!
I would introduce legislation to hold criminals accountable by making it law that a criminal has the burden of proof to prove they are not a danger to society in order for them to be released.
