Rule 13 of the 2012 Rules of the Republican Party is entitled Call of Next Convention.
Rule 13
Call of Next Convention
The Republican National Committee shall issue the call for the next national convention to nominate candidates for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States prior to December 1 of the year prior to that in which the national convention is to be held. The Republican National Committee shall issue and promulgate the call in a manner consistent with these rules. The call shall include the text of the rules relating to the convening and the proceedings of the national convention, in addition to the official delegate count for each state, including any penalties assessed under Rule No. 17(a), and will note which states’ delegations will be allocated in direct proportion in accordance with Rule No. 17(b).[1] |
