Senate committee hearing

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs held hearings on Puttagunta's nomination on September 14, 2021. The committee voted to advance Puttagunta's nomination to the full Senate on October 6, 2021.[1]

Nomination

On March 30, 2021, President Joe Biden (D) announced his intent to nominate Puttagunta to a seat on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The president officially nominated Puttagunta on April 19.[2][1]

Puttagunta was nominated to replace Judge Patricia A. Broderick.[3]
