Russ Barnes was a state court judge for Sumter County, Georgia.[1] He resigned from his position amid an investigation into judicial misconduct, where it is alleged that he misappropriated official funds.[2]
Barnes signed a consent order with the Judicial Qualifications Commission, the order making him promise to never seek or accept judicial office in the future.[2]
