Russ Matthews was a Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives, serving District 33B from 2004-2010. Matthews was last re-elected in November of 2008 with his term expiring in 2010.

On November 4, 2008, Republican Russ Matthews won re-election to the Idaho House of Representatives District 33B receiving 54.6% of the vote (7,952 votes), ahead of Democrat John McGimpsey who received 45.4% of the vote (6,605 votes).[1]
