Pulley is from Virginia. His early career experience includes working at the fire department in Chesapeake, Va., the police department in Virginia Beach and as a state trooper. He then worked as an FBI agent for 18 years, and an investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor for 11 years.[1]

Note: Because Zulfat Suara received more than 10% of the vote in the general election, she won the election and did not need to advance to the general runoff. Four seats were elected in the general runoff election.[2]

The city of Nashville, Tennessee, held nonpartisan elections for mayor and metro council on August 6, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 21, 2015. All 41 metro council seats—including the office of vice mayor—were up for election. In District 25, Russ Pulley was unopposed.[3][4] Incumbent Sean McGuire was term-limited.
