Russell Hartigan
Russell Hartigan (Democratic Party) (also known as Russ) was a judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. He assumed office in 2010. He left office on January 17, 2017.
Hartigan (Democratic Party) ran for election for judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. He lost in the Democratic primary on March 19, 2024.
Education
Hartigan received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and his J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School. He was admitted to the Bar in 1976.[1][2]
Career
Hartigan is a former private practice attorney. Prior to joining the court, Hartigan served as Lyons Township supervisor from 2008 to 2010.[1][3]

Hartigan was elected without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012, to replace retired Judge John Moran. Hartigan was unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 100 percent of the vote.[4][5]
