- I want to represent the people of my community. I will work to be available to the voters so I can understand their needs and wishes. I care about people and I will listen and learn to make wise decisions.
- I want to foster discussion. I would like to arrive at solutions by working together. I want to be recognized as an individual and not simply as a member of a group. We need to understand that people are individuals first. Oftentimes, individuals have similar goals but might have different approaches as to the methods to reach those goals. If we recognize what we have in common, we can work together successfully.
- I will work hard and strive for understanding. I will put in the time to understand issues at a deeper level so I can make quality decisions even if the issues are complex.
