Ryan Clancy (Democratic Party) is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 19. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Clancy (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 19. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Ryan Clancy was born in Glendale, Wisconsin. Clancy graduated from Nicolet High School in 1995. He earned a B.A. in English from Beloit College in 2000 and an M.A. in negotiation, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding from California State University, Dominguez Hills, in 2012. His professional experience includes working as a teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools, as a counselor and counselor trainer at Legacy International, and as a business owner of Trounce Records.[1][2][3]
Clancy volunteered as a legal observer and team leader for the American Civil Liberties Union, for Mass Care/Sheltering, and for the American Red Cross. He also served in the United States Peace Corps. He joined the Democratic Socialists of America, Citizen Action, and was a delegate for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.[1][2][3]

Restoring programming options within our institutions such as the Work Farm, which provide meaningful work and career skills
Restoring in-person visitation
Breaking up the private monopolies in the jail and HOC which enrich private companies on the backs of Milwaukee families and at the expense of dignity and nutrition.
Restoring and funding the Post-Booking Stabilization program
Investing in human infrastructure
Investing in Milwaukee County's workforce
