Ryan is the son of a steelworker and a lifelong resident of the 11th District. He graduated from Butler High School in 1997. Ryan owns 3 small businesses in Butler and volunteers in the community by coaching and mentoring at risk youth. Ryan fights for the 11th District. He works hard to help the community and keep our favorite businesses in the district. Ryan wants to work just as hard in Harrisburg to represent the 11th District. He will be accessible to everyone and plans to have his office in downtown Butler. "We have too much government and too little getting done at the expense of the taxpayers. It is time for a fighter to be elected and someone who has worked outside of government to understand the real world of paying bills without tax dollars. That someone is me." - Ryan Covert
  • Ryan will protect our community and fight back against the drug epidemic.
  • Ryan will promote programs that will enhance our local economy and bring tax dollars back to the 11th District.
  • Ryan will champion small businesses and fight to reduce government waste.

I look up to the working men and women. I look up to the people who get up everyday and go out into the world to try to bring a little bit home to improve the lives of their families. I look up to the people who want more for others than they have for themselves. The doctors, nurses, and front line workers who go to work everyday without knowing what to expect, whether that be happiness or tragedy. The police man or soldier willing to sacrifice for the betterment of humanity. That's who I look up to.
Be known as the greatest state representative the 11th district has ever seen and set the bar higher for those that come after. Do more for the people than anyone has ever done.
The first historical event that happened in my lifetime that I remember is the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981. I was 3 or 4 years of age.
I got my first job at 18 years old as a bar bouncer and had the job for 2 years.
No. I believe life and business experience in the real world should be a requirement. In the end, its the people's choice.
