What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Investing in education, improving our healthcare, diversifying our economy, protecting our public lands, and strengthening our communities.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Education-It's essential to every aspect of our future. Economy-A productive and thriving society is the best place to live. Healthcare-I'm a Registered Nurse, its what I do. Public Lands-I want them around for future generations as they were for me. Community-When we work together, we can celebrate our success together
Both sitting legislators and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
One lady I spoke to at her front door told me about her life as a teacher, and her daughters struggles with constant migraines. Her school had 5 modular classrooms outside the main building and they were about to add a 6th when she retired. Her Daughter was on Medicaid and terrified to fall into the gap of making too much for Medicaid, but not enough to afford private insurance. I see her often and she reminds me of why I'm doing this.
