Ryan Schelhaas
Ryan Schelhaas (Republican Party) was the acting Attorney General of Wyoming. He assumed office on May 28, 2025. He left office on July 7, 2025.
Gov. Mark Gordon (R) appointed Schelhaas acting Attorney General of Wyoming on May 27, 2025 to replace Bridget Hill (R).[1]
Biography
Prior to being appointed acting Attorney General of Wyoming, Schelhaas served in the Attorney General of Wyoming's office from 2003 to 2025. He served as a tax litigator, section supervisor in the Civil Division, Civil Division deputy, and Chief Deputy Attorney General. He also served in private practice with Hirst Applegate, a law firm in Cheyenne, Wyoming, from 1999 to 2003.[2]
Schelhaas earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing in 1996 and a J.D. in 1999, both from the University of Wyoming.
