Ryan Spiegel
Ryan Spiegel (Democratic Party) is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 17. He assumed office on June 15, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2027.
Spiegel (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 17. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on June 23, 2026.[source]
Gov. Wes Moore appointed Spiegel to the Maryland House of Delegates District 17 on June 15, 2023 to replace former Rep. Kumar Barve (D). [1]
Biography
Prior to his appointment to the Maryland House of Delegates, Spiegel served as a City Council member in Gaithersburg, Maryland from 2007 to 2023.[2] He is a partner in Thompson Hine LLP, a law firm based in Washington D.C.. [3]
Education
Spiegel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland in 2000, and a J.D. from Stanford University in 2003. [4]
