Stang's sense of pride for his community is why he has devoted time to raising money and awareness for causes he believes in. Partnering with Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly going on 10 years, he has raised over $253,000 to benefit children with disadvantaged and special needs in WNY. The event has transformed from a small volleyball tournament to a mammoth retreat, generating dedicated annual volunteers, donations from local businesses, and media coverage from across the region. Buffalo Spikes for Tykes proves that Ryan can encourage the community to fight and improve the lives of families in his backyard.
After graduating from Buffalo State with a B.A. in Communication, Ryan Stang became a successful Financial Professional with Mass Mutual for 9 years until deciding to step out and create his own business, "Stang Insurance Consulting".
