Ryan Wruck completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Wruck's responses.
What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1. Promote civic engagement 2. Audit public accounts 3. Preserve integrity of records
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Budgeting for public transportation and infrastructure will help keep our state on a healthy track to sustainability.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
Moderates are the most inspiring individuals.
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?
All forms of media have merit and disadvantages associated individually. I can't point to one specific piece to show my philosophy. In essence, the evolving nature of politics should allow eclectic sources of information to solve any given issue.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honesty. Is a politician doing the job they are supposed to be? I plan on working every moment I'm in office. Fixing our nation starts on a state-to-state level of politics.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I work hard and put my mind to any task put before me. In the private sector, I have achieved a great deal of success... I have promoted employee input, audited private accounts and increased sales, and kept meticulous records of relevant material. This experience can easily be carried over to the Secretary of State position.
