Born and raised in Pinellas County, I am the daughter of Moroccan and Colombian immigrants who came to the United States in search of a better life. My parents taught me the importance of showing up for neighbors and giving back to the community from an early age. In pursuit of helping our communities I went to FSU and received a Masters in Emergency Management & Natural Disasters from Georgetown University.

I am a public servant, preparedness and recovery expert, and organizer that has dedicated my life to bringing people together to solve problems. From providing direct relief to millions of American children, families, and seniors during the pandemic, to supporting communities recovering from mass shootings and natural disasters, I have worked at the highest levels of government and gotten results. In times of crisis, I answer the call to serve and takes action to get meaningful results.

I am running for Congress so that every American has the freedom to thrive in healthy, safe communities – with the education, healthcare, housing, and jobs that every family needs and deserves.
  • As a preparedness and recovery expert I will fight to protect our beaches and communities by tackling the climate crisis with the urgency it demands.
  • I will fight for our healthcare and secure abortion rights to ensure women have the access to life-saving healthcare, and safeguard Medicare and Social Security.
  • I will work to rein in rising costs, including housing and medicine, and build an economy that works for all.
When elected I will be a champion on climate crisis issues for this district and the state of Florida. I received a Masters in Emergency Management & Natural Disasters from Georgetown and worked to help lead our nation's public health preparedness for, response to, and recovery from disasters and emergencies. I have answered the call to serve and taken action to get results in times of crisis. We're witnessing a surge in insurance costs, a lack of affordable housing, small businesses suffering, and the looming threat of disasters potentially destroying our homes. It's important that Congress takes action to address these issues and safeguard our ability to live in healthy, safer communities.
A book that aligns with my political philosophy is "The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream" by Barack Obama.

Published in 2006, before Obama's presidency, this book outlines his vision for a more inclusive and united America. Obama discusses his moderate political philosophy, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, compromise, and empathy in addressing the nation's challenges. He advocates for bridging divides, finding common ground, and working collaboratively towards shared goals. "The Audacity of Hope" reflects Obama's commitment to pragmatic governance and his belief in the power of democracy to bring about positive change while promoting unity and understanding among diverse communities.
I have dedicated my life to service, taking action, and getting results for others. From providing direct relief to millions of American children, families, and seniors during the pandemic, to supporting communities recovering from mass shootings and natural disasters, I have worked at the highest levels of government and gotten results. In times of crisis, I have answered the call to serve and take action to get meaningful results. In Congress I will bring this same quality and ensure we get things done for our District.
The core responsibilities for someone elected to this position should always be representing their constituents' interests. As well as legislating on national issues, providing oversight of the executive branch, allocating federal funds responsibly, and serving as a bridge between the government and the people.
I aspire to leave a legacy in Congress characterized by bipartisanship, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to serving the needs of my constituents.
My first job was at Regal Cinema in Largo Mall, I worked part-time during holidays while I was a student. As a member of the floor staff, I assisted with concessions, sales, and various other tasks.
I would want to be Leslie Knope from "Parks and Recreation". Leslie embodies qualities of dedication, passion, and boundless optimism that make her a role model for public service and leadership.

Leslie's unwavering commitment to her community is truly inspiring. She approaches her work with boundless energy and enthusiasm, always striving to make Pawnee a better place for its residents. Her dedication to public service is evident in her willingness to go above and beyond to solve problems and improve the lives of others.

Her strong sense of ethics and integrity is commendable. She consistently stands up for what she believes is right, even when it's not the most popular or convenient choice. Her unwavering moral compass and commitment to doing the right thing make her a trustworthy and dependable leader.

Overall, being Leslie Knope means embodying the values of dedication, optimism, and integrity in everything you do. It means approaching challenges with determination and enthusiasm, and never losing sight of the importance of serving others. In a world where cynicism and negativity can often prevail, channeling your inner Leslie Knope is a reminder to always strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those around you.
A memorable story I had when knocking doors was with a small business owner in Clearwater, Florida. She has a thriving beachside cafe that has been her pride and joy for the past decade. However, as hurricane season approaches each year, she faces mounting anxiety over the potential devastation a storm could bring to her beloved business.

Despite diligently paying her insurance premiums, policy does not cover damage from future hurricanes, leaving her vulnerable to significant financial losses in the event of a disaster. Aware of the risks, she has struggled to secure additional coverage due to the high premiums and limited availability of insurance options in the region.

With each passing storm season, she grapples with the uncertainty of whether her business will survive a catastrophic event. She invests in preventive measures like reinforced windows and storm shutters, but the looming threat of a hurricane still casts a shadow over her livelihood.

Despite the challenges, she remains resilient, determined to protect her business and support her employees. She stays informed about emergency preparedness strategies and actively engages with local authorities and community organizations to advocate for better support for small businesses like hers.

Her story highlights the precarious situation faced by many small business owners in hurricane-prone areas like Pinellas County, Florida. It underscores the need for comprehensive insurance coverage and proactive measures to mitigate the impact of natural disasters on local economies. With a Masters in Emergency Management & Natural Disasters from Georgetown this is a topic I have a deep knowledge in and would want to have it be a top priority of mine in Congress.
Yes, compromise is necessary and desirable for effective policymaking as it reflects diverse perspectives, promotes stability, encourages bipartisanship, facilitates progress, and respects democratic principles.
