Hello all! My name is Saeed Georges. I am a first generation Syrian American, born, raised, and educated in Allentown. I graduated from dieruff in 2007 and remain active as coach of the girls volleyball team for 4 years. I attended west Chester university majoring in criminal Justice with a minor in sociology. I completed an internship at a district court, and have worked in private security for 3 years. For the last 8 years, I’ve been a supports coordinator, locating, coordinating, monitoring, and advocating for services and funds for kids and adults with special needs. I want to take my leadership skills, as well as my ability to coordinate and advocate, to Harrisburg to represent the area I was born and raised in, which I purchased a home near my parents, showing dedication to this area.
  • Education and sports funding for schools
  • Mental health care advocate
  • Safe and prosperous communities for all
Education funding absolutely. Our local schools are outdated, heavily under funded, and being deprived of having a quality educational experience which will increase their interest and participation, building spirit and pride.
My dad, he’s my idol. He came here as an immigrant, worked hard, got married, raised 4 kids, starting with only few dollars. True American dream
My ability to lead, advocate, coordinate, be understanding, integrity and pride
Serve its people and community to the best of their ability
That I did everything possible for the community I’m serving
At a diner, cleaning tables. This was a high school job and enjoyed interactions with customers
It encompassed such a variety of people from all walks of life for a common purpose, serving it’s constituents.
Not necessarily, but one needs to be able to understanding how to coordinate and advocate on such a level to stand for the people. I do have some current experience in policy, procedure, regulations and rules at the county and state level through my employment in mental health
It should be extended, because it is a grueling process every 2 years, start to finish in every aspect
The rules are in place as is, meaning anyone can be ran against, challenged, or what not. However if the person is truly adapting and adjusting to the needs of the people, and the majority are happy and things are occurring that are positive, that should be celebrated.
Absolutely, there needs to be care, compassion, and understanding on both ends to be successful for the people
