Sal Leone ran for election to the Thomasville City Council in North Carolina. Leone lost in the general election on November 5, 2019.

Leone was a candidate for District 5 representative on the Greensboro City Council in North Carolina. He was defeated in the primary election on October 10, 2017.

Leone was a candidate for an at-large seat on the city council in 2011 and for mayor of Greensboro in 2015.[1] He also ran as a Republican candidate for the District 27 seat in the North Carolina State Senate in 2012 and a Democratic candidate for the District 62 seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives in 2014.

Leone holds an A.A. degree. At the time of his 2017 run for city council, he worked in law enforcement.[2]
