A Salem Township Property Tax Levy Renewal question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Tuscarawas County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.
This question authorized the Township of Salem, excluding the Village of Port Washington) to renew a property tax levy of up to 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund the maintenance of cemetery facilities in the Township.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Salem Township (excluding Village of Port Washington) for the purpose of cemetery maintenance at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.
