Sally Owens was born in Missouri. She earned her BS in Business Administration/Accounting from William Woods University and her MBA in Hospital Administration from Drake University. Sally chose Central Illinois to live, work, volunteer, and raise her family since 1999. As a small business consultant, Sally worked to help family businesses overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Her last position was with OSF Healthcare, where she worked to connect women with health services. Much of Sally's time was spent identifying and helping to close care gaps within the underserved areas of Central Illinois.
  • TAX RELEIF - Reduce the burden on families, promote new business development, and encourage responsible government spending.
  • TRANSPARENCY & TERM LIMITS - Reduce government corruption by promoting clear descriptive BILLS, eliminating "gut & replace" legislation, and introducing term limits.
  • PUBLIC SAFTY - Support law enforcement through funding & training. Protect victim rights with clear & fair legislation. Reform the Safe-T Act.
Business development and youth job readiness are two areas crucial to Illinois rebounding from the years of government corruption and economic mismanagement.

Illinois laws and taxes are driving businesses, good jobs, and people out of the state. Illinois desperately needs common sense legislation geared to promoting business development.

High School graduates need to have the skills to enter the workforce. Collaboration with training partners will create "hands-on" education opportunities for students and a job ready workforce for Illinois.
Willingness to work for the good of the community with all members, regardless of political affiliation. Transparency.
Represent the common good of the constituents. Promote economic growth for the district.
The legislature and the governor were designed to be a check & balance of power. Ideally, the legislature develops policy to promote a safe and prosperous community and the governor ensures the policy is enacted by appropriate agencies.
National Federation of Independent Businesses has endorsed me and I'm proud to say I have received financial support from hundreds of individual constituents.
Education, Health & Human Services
Illinois government lacks basic transparency and accountability. The pay raises of elected officials should be on a single piece of legislation and Illinois should eliminate "gut & replace" legislation, both of which deceive the public.
