Salvatore J. Modica
Salvatore J. Modica was an acting justice of the Queens County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 11th Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2009. He also served as a New York City Criminal Court judge in Kings County from 2002 to July 19, 2004, when he moved to the Queens County Family Court, where he served in 2008.[1][2][3]
Education
Modica received his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law.[1]
Career
Modica began his career in 1986 as a New York State Assistant District Attorney. He worked in this position until 1988 and became an associate law clerk to a NY Justice in 1987. He then worked as principal law clerk to a NY Judge from 1991 through 2001. In 2002, he was appointed to the New York City Criminal Court of Kings County. He also served as an Acting New York City Family Court Judge in 2008 and was appointed Acting Justice of the Supreme Court in 2009.[1]
