Sam Carroll was a judge for the Taylor County Court at Law in Texas, No. 2. Carroll joined the court in January 2011. He died on August 6, 2015, from injuries sustained in a bicycle accident.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 66 percent of the vote. He competed against Tim Ladyman.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014.
