Sam Dehne
Sam Dehne was a candidate for the nonpartisan City Council At-Large in Reno, Nevada, but was defeated in the primary election on June 14, 2016.
In 2014, Dehne ran for the Ward 2 of the Reno City Council and lost in the primary election. He also ran unsuccessfully to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Nevada in 2012 as a Democrat.
Biography
Sam Dehne graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1962. He spent five years flying B-52 bombers before he became a pilot with Pan American World Airways. He is retired and lives in Reno.[1]
Elections
2016
The city of Reno, Nevada, held a primary for two of the four city council seats up for election in 2016. The Ward 1 seat and at-large seat appeared on the primary ballot on June 14, 2016, as more than two candidates filed for each seat. The top two vote recipients advanced to the general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent David Bobzien and Sam Kumar defeated James Lewis and Sam Dehne in the primary election for Reno City Council At-Large.

Elections for the city council of Reno, Nevada took place on November 4, 2014. A primary election was held on June 10. Naomi Duerr and Elisa Cafferata defeated Sam Dehne, Jim Johns, Jared Townsend and Aaron West in the primary election for Ward 2. Duerr defeated Cafferata in the general election.[2][3][4]

Dehne ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nevada's 2nd District. He lost to Samuel Koepnick in the Democratic primary.[5][6]
