Sam Gilbert Bratton (1888-1963) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. He was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on June 1, 1933, to replace Judge John Hazelton Cotteral. He received commission on June 1, 1933. From 1956 to 1959, he was the chief judge. On March 1, 1961, Bratton assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on September 22, 1963.[1]
