Sam Johnson is a member of the Plano Independent School District school board in Texas, representing Place 2. He assumed office on May 20, 2025. His current term ends in 2029.
Johnson ran for election to the Plano Independent School District school board to represent Place 2 in Texas. He won in the general election on May 3, 2025.
Biography
Sam Johnson was born and lives in Plano, Texas. He graduated from Plano Senior High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2008. Johnson’s career experience includes working as a business law attorney and youth group leader. Johnson serves as a board member of the North-Texas/Oklahoma region of the Anti-Defamation League and as a regional co-chair of the Anti-Defamation League Education Committee.[1][2]

|Since moving home to Plano, I have gone through the FBI Citizens Academy and Leadership Plano, and am on the boards of directors of the Anti-Defamation League and Grace to Change.
I have my own law firm in Collin County where I practice primarily business law, working on litigation matters and business transactions. My wife and I are raising our three sons as active participants in our community.
I am a staunch believer in the fundamentals of balance and equality found in our Constitution and am perceived by my peers as a meticulous attorney who pays close attention to detail and arguing cases on the law and facts, the same - and only - considerations on which I'll decide cases once I'm on the bench.- Fairness
