I am a lifelong resident of Collin County. After graduating from Plano Senior High School, I worked full-time at the Texas State History Museum to put myself through college at the University of Texas at Austin. I then worked part-time through law school at South Texas College of Law - Houston, one of the top trial advocacy law schools in country.

Since moving home to Plano, I have gone through the FBI Citizens Academy and Leadership Plano, and am on the boards of directors of the Anti-Defamation League and Grace to Change.

I have my own law firm in Collin County where I practice primarily business law, working on litigation matters and business transactions. My wife and I are raising our three sons as active participants in our community.

I am a staunch believer in the fundamentals of balance and equality found in our Constitution and am perceived by my peers as a meticulous attorney who pays close attention to detail and arguing cases on the law and facts, the same - and only - considerations on which I'll decide cases once I'm on the bench.
I am most passionate about equal justice and treatment under the law. I've spent a significant portion of my adult life as an activist with the Anti-Defamation League, which has as an operative part of its mission to "secure justice and fair treatment to all." Our form of government is an imperfect one, but it carries the tools that allow us to continue working to protect the promises of freedom, liberty, and safety found in the Constitution.
