Sam Jones (Alabama)
Sam Jones (Democratic Party) is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 99. He assumed office on November 7, 2018. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
Jones (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 99. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
Representative Jones was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Central High School. He subsequently attended Florida Junior College and Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. Jones served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he served as executive director of Mobile Community Action, was elected to the Mobile County Commission, and was eventually elected president of the Alabama County Commission Association. Later, he was elected to serve as mayor of Mobile.[1]
