Sam Kelly is an at-large, nonpartisan representative on the Kaukauna Area School District school board in Wisconsin. First elected in 2014, Kelly won a new term in the at-large general election on April 4, 2017.[1]

Kelly was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 5 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Kelly graduated from the Kaukauna Area School District. He pursued a bachelor's degree in political science and government from St. Norbert College. He expected to graduate in 2018.[2]

Two seats on the Kaukauna Area School District Board of Education were up for at-large general election on April 4, 2017. In their bids for re-election to the board, incumbents Sue Gertz and Sam Kelly ran unopposed and won additional terms.[3][4]

Kelly filed an exemption statement detailing he would not spend or receive more than $2,000 toward his campaign. Because of this, he did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[5]

Elections for the Wisconsin State Assembly took place in 2016. The primary election took place on August 9, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was June 1, 2016.

Incumbent Jim Steineke defeated Sam Kelly in the Wisconsin State Assembly District 5 general election.[6][7]
