Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., because he never wavered from his believes and convictions in life no matter what. He stayed true to who he was, as perfect and as flawed as he was, he knew what he was fighting for was bigger than himself. He trusted God and the path God put him on. And he led with love and peace in his heart.
There is a Hebrew phrase that best describes my approach to life and everything else. It's simple "Tikkun Olam", "repairing the world" or "healing the world". It's a central principle of Judaism that refers to the idea that people are responsible for improving the world through a variety of actions.
To be accessible, accountable, transparent, and a collaborator. Too often elected officials are not available to their constituents. Too often they fail to admit when they get it wrong and too often, they lose sight of why they are there, and that is to serve the people and be a voice for them. Elected officials have to have thick skin and be able to take constructive criticism, be flexible in their approach and willing to compromise.
To listen to the people, hear their concerns, work with them and others to create solutions, work together to find the best way to implement those solutions and then track the progress to ensure it is successful.
No, sometimes we need fresh ideas especially to replace those who aren't accomplishing anything or moving the needle.

It's a no brainer we need to be open and transparent about everything.
