Samantha Zherka was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She is a public advocate and public adjuster fighting for the rights of families ravaged by natural disasters. Samantha is the daughter of hard-working Albanian Muslim immigrants who came to America with only their determination to succeed and a strong work ethic. Samantha’s father was brutally tortured by the communist regime in Albania and all of his property was seized by the government. She understands the evils of communism and the false hope of socialism. Samantha’s parents worked hard to provide a good future for her and her siblings and taught her the value of honesty and hard work.

Samantha owns and manages several successful independent businesses that she started from scratch. While presiding over a thriving insurance and construction business, Samantha will always remember the trials and tribulations she faced becoming a successful entrepreneur in New York City. When Samantha became pregnant with her first child, she had to rely on public assistance in order to take care of her baby. She understands that we must provide and protect people who are most vulnerable but knows very well that receiving welfare should be an emergency remedy not a way of life. We need to get people off of welfare and into prosperity.

  • Repeal Cashless Bail / Bail Reform making sure dangerous criminals are kept behind bars, Bringing back safety
  • Restore Funding to the police. No More Defund Police. More funding and Resources.
  • Education Reform, empowering our students and their families with lifting laws that take the power of their voice away, Open meetings laws will be expanded to ensure that parents never lose their voice again. Most importantly, bringing back trade and vocational studies in High School. NO child should be failed due to failures outside of their control. Trade school options in High School will ensure that every child touch the American Dream.
New York spends an enormous amount of money on students with disappointing results, the money is going to the bureaucracy not the schools. Our education system is not serving the needs of students and their families, New York needs to focus on preparing students for life after high school.

Too many students graduate without basic reading comprehension and math skills.

Our kids should not be forced to wear masks inside of schools, especially kids in elementary schools. Schools should be places of learning not centers of indoctrination.

Critical race theory has no place in our schools, neither does pornography in the guise of “sex education” to kids as young as five.

On day one I will introduce a parent’s bill of rights. Parents will never lose their voice or be treated like a terrorist by school boards or government again.
I will introduce legislation that will make it a crime of pornography and no schoolteacher will be able to teach sex education before an appropriate age.
There will be NO Critical Race Theory in our NYS schools. Truth in learning is the only way.
We need to get back to the basics and prepare our students for the job market and College. We also need to focus more on vocational training and trade schools giving students more options besides a four-year degree program. We also need to make sure that our “special needs” students receive the resources they need.

I will sponsor legislation for expansion of TRADE SCHOOLS.
