Samuel A. DeWitt
Samuel A. DeWitt was a Socialist Party member of the New York State Assembly from 1919 to 1920. He was expelled from the chamber on April 1, 1920, for alleged disloyalty to the United States and New York, and for his association with the Socialist Party.
DeWitt was elected again in September 1920 in a special election, but resigned in solidarity with other Socialists who were expelled for a second time.[1]
