Samuel Alschuler
Samuel Alschuler (1859-1939) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.[1]
He received a recess appointment from President Woodrow Wilson on August 16, 1915 to fill the seat vacated by Peter Stenger Grosscup. On January 7, 1916, he was nominated. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 18th, and received commission that same day. On May 15, 1936, he assumed senior status. He served in this capacity until his death on November 9, 1939.[1]
