Samuel Chavira
Samuel Chavira is a former member of the Glendale City Council in Arizona, representing the Yucca District from 2013 to 2016. He was elected to the council in November 2012 and was sworn into office on January 15, 2013.[1] Chavira ran for re-election in 2016. He was defeated by Joyce Clark in the primary election on August 30, 2016.

The city of Glendale, Arizona, held elections for mayor and city council on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on August 30, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 1, 2016.[2] Three of the six city council seats were up for election. Joyce Clark defeated incumbent Samuel Chavira in the Glendale City Council, Yucca District primary election.[3]
