Samuel Koepnick was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Nevada.
Koepnick was defeated by Republican incumbent Mark Amodei on November 6, 2012.[1]
Biography
Samuel Koepnick graduated from High School in Fernley, Nevada. He then studied anthropology and computer science at the University of Nevada in Reno. After graduation, he was accepted into a master's program at Texas A&M. After finishing work on his master's degree, he moved back to Nevada in 2009. He lives in Carson City.[2]
Elections
2012
Koepnick ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Nevada's 2nd District. He defeated Sam Dehne and Xiomara Rodriguez in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012.[3] Koepnick faced incumbent Mark Amodei (R), Independent candidate Michael L. Haines and Independent American Party candidate Russell Best in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4]
