My name is Samuel Petali, I'm a resident of Manchester Ward 10, Hillsborough 19, and first time candidate for office. I moved here 7 years ago and was taken in by NH's beauty and access to some of the best the nation has to offer. I want to help resolve some of the problems that still are present, though. I want to work to resolve our schools funding crisis, help push for access to affordable healthcare, and I want to advocate for consumer rights in a constantly shifting digital age.
  • Fund our schools! It is up to the legislators in this state to resolve the school funding crisis and it remains on their desk. We have to work to get this resolved.
  • NH need access to affordable housing! Corporate interests in a shrinking housing and rental supply has driven costs up. I want to work to understand the roadblocks and work to resolve them.
  • Legislation has not kept up with the digital age. I want to advocate for consumer rights in a constantly shifting market that is under reviewed and running wild. Your digital identity is your identity, what happens when that is stolen by no fault of your own? There's little requirement when a company loses your information that you've entrusted it to. Further there's no ownership in digital products despite their equivalent cost to physical product. I want to work to understand these issues and what can be done to protect NH residents and advocate for true ownership of digital property.
Consumer rights, education, housing, LGBTQ+ issues, truth in politics, environmental issues and protections including clean air and water.
My Husband, who has a deep analytical mindset and is masterful at communication of big subjects in digestible ways in a way that I can only dream of being.
I have a critical mind, and I'm able to understand issues at hand and ask important questions to perceived and unperceived affects. I've always had an ability to understand rules and make sure they work well for everyone.
To advocate for the constituents for which they represent and understand both sides of an issue on which they are voting. To have the ability to analyze the issues and hand and understand the long-term and short-term impacts on any change in policy or law.
y2k was the first thing I remembered. Waiting for the lights to go out and things to go wrong while watching the ball drop with my grandfather on New Years Eve.
I worked at a retail ice cream shop when I was 15 over the summer. I was not there long, 3 months.
I think anyone is capable of stepping up and doing their civic duty to the state as long as they have an ability and passion to learn, grow, and advocate for the good of the people.
Yes, I believe compromise is key to moving forward instead of getting caught up in divisive rhetoric and in-fighting.
Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Rules
There should be more insight into the deliverables on government spending.
