Samuel Prentiss
Samuel Prentiss (1782-1857) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Vermont.
He was nominated by President John Tyler on April 8, 1842. He was confirmed by the Senate and he received commission that same day.[1] He served until his death on January 15, 1857. Prentiss was succeeded in this position by David Allen Smalley.
