Three seats on the San Angelo Independent School District Board of Trustees were scheduled to be up for general election on May 9, 2015, however since all incumbents were running unopposed, the district opted to cancel the election.[1]

District 5 incumbent Max Parker, District 6 incumbent Gerard Gallegos and at-large incumbent Lanny Layman all won re-election to the board.[1]

The San Angelo Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Six members are elected by specific geographic, and one member is elected at-large. There was no primary election, and a general election was scheduled to take place on May 9, 2015, for Districts 5, 6 and one at-large position. The district opted to cancel this election since all incumbents were running unopposed.[1]

School board candidates submitted paperwork with the school district secretary by February 27, 2015. Each candidate must be at least 18 years old, a registered voter and a resident of the district for at least six months. Members filed two campaign finance reports with the district clerk prior to the election unless they did not receive or spend $500 during the campaign.[5]
